We will be graciously hosted by Sam Kayser of Ellensburg. Sam, champion steer roper, and his family have been in the cattle business all their lives and summer their cows and calves in the Teanaway Valley just below our camp. Riding is a real pleasure in the Valley, highlighted with the beginning of the fall colors. This herd of cows and calves start to come out of the high country in anticipation of the upcoming move to their wintering grounds. The challenge is to gather them up and "push" them back to higher meadows where they are supposed to stay. You will assist the wranglers as they work the herd back into the high country. Our famous dutch oven cooking and evening campfire highlight this trip. We will set up a camp at the corrals where we will ride from each day. Bring a good sleeping bag and pad. Evenings and mornings can be crisp.Limit of 8 guestsPRICES: | weekend overnight | $310.00 | | day ride (Saturday or Sunday) | $150.00 |
